Discord’s design processes incorporate accessibility principles from the start. Our Accessibility (“A11y”) Team collaborates with our product and engineering teams throughout the development process. We believe accessibility is an important element of our early-design stage so we can identify and address fundamental accessibility problems early.
We are committed to conforming to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. WCAG defines standards for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Discord is working to meet the WCAG Level AA conformance standards.
To provide feedback about an existing accessibility feature or future features, you can contact us via our Website or our dedicated Accessibility feedback form. Our A11y team also works with a core set of users in a private server. The server has an active community of users with different accessibility needs who engage with our A11y Team, as well as other Discord employees, to troubleshoot problems or identify areas for improvement.
